Corona Virus Update

Due to the corona-19 virus situation in the start of 2022, the situation is still in high alert.  The province encourages stay at home restrictions, physical distancing, washing hands, etc... to help protect us against the deadly virus. As restaurants, stores and many other businesses reopen it is still uncertain whether we can host the 2022 SMC Alumni & Friends Golf Classic. With the latest Covid-19 numbers rising, specifically the Omicron strain, it is unknown what restrictions will be in place throughout the spring.  This has been our primary fundraiser for the SMC Alumni Scholarships given each year in June at Graduation Ceremonies.

Without adequate fundraising via the golf tournament, we are now turning to fundraising online.  The Alumni have been very supportive and it is hoped we can continue to provide these valuable awards into the future.
